Produced by Vikram Phadnis Productions, Young Berry Entertainment (Pratap Sarnaik and his son Purvesh Sarnaik), Hrudayantar is an emotional drama starring Marathi actors Subodh Bhave and Mukta Barve. Vikram’s friend and superstar Shah Rukh Khan graced the muhurat launch held at the Olive (Mumbai) and he also gave the clap shot for the film while actor Arjun Kapoor broke the auspicious coconut.

Besides Shah Rukh, the list of attendees included Abbas-Mustan, Vipul Shah, Sanjay Gupta, Sohail Khan, Athiya Shetty, Sanjay Kapoor, Ritesh Sidhwani, Sanjay Kapoor, Baba Siddiqui, Kiara Advani, Malaika Arora with sister Amrita Arora, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Shweta Bachchchan Nanda, Anu Deewan, among others.

Said Shah Rukh Khan, “First film is very important and it’s like your first child. I know Vikram since a long time and I’m aware that he takes lot of efforts in his projects. I hope Vikram makes movies in Hindi as well. All the best to the whole team of Hrudayantar. Have a great shoot and inshallah make a beautiful film!”

Added Vikram, “Marathi cinema has come of age. I think there is a time and space for every kind of genre and films. I’m a Maharashtrian, I speak the language and I’m comfortable with the language. I think the story that I wanted to tell, I got great artists for the same including Mukta Barve and Subodh Bhave. When I found right characters, I think it was the right time to make it in Marathi. It’s not that I don’t want to make a film in Hindi. The sensibility of the kind of cinema I want to make, the story I want to tell and the right casting… I just thought it was the right time to make a Marathi film.”

According to Abbas-Mustan, “Hrudayantar is Vikram’s debut film and I hope he goes a long way. Congratulations and we wish the entire team super success.” And Arjun chipped in, “I know Vikram since a long time. It’s a dream come true for him. The Marathi film industry is expanding and I hope Vikram’s film does wonders at the box office.”
