Call him an underrated actor, yet Pankaj Kapur’s son is a formidable force in the Hindi film industry. 2017 will see a lot of big releases: Raees (Shah Rukh Khan), Kaabil (Hrithik Roshan), Tubelight (Salman Khan), Baadshaho (Ajay Devgn), Sarkar 3 (Amitabh Bachchan), Jagga Jasoos (Ranbir Kapoor), to mention a few! For sure, if we take the top four films, Shahid’s Rangoon wouldn’t figure in the list, yet it may end up as the dark horse. The actor shared the first poster of the film on Twitter.

Rewind to 2016, and his Udta Punjab did win critical acclaims as well as made profit at the box-office despite the Censor controversy preceding its release. And now, Shahid’s fans will be looking forward to Vishal Bhardwaj’s Rangoon which is a film set in the Second World War and stars him alongside Kangana Ranaut and his former beau’s (Kareena Kapoor) hubby Saif Ali Khan. Slated to hit the theatres on February 23, Rangoon will for sure create a hype that can push it towards becoming a box-office success.

Let’s not forget, the Shahid-Vishal combination has given us memorable films in Kaminey and Hyder. Rangoon could well add to the list. All eyes!
