Yesteryear actor Tariq Khan who also happens to be superstar Aamir Khan’s first cousin, launched the current edition of the popular book R.D.BurMania, written by senior journalist, Chaitanya Padukone in Pune on January 4 to commemorate the 23rd death anniversary of the legendary composer.

The event also witnessed a musical extravaganza convened by the PanchamMagic Group a popular RD fans association. “It’s my honour to soft-launch this classic book of RD memoirs, as I also owe my stardom during the ’70s mainly to the genius composer, besides my uncle Nasir Hussain Saab,” said Tariq, who has had many RD songs picturised on him, including Kya Hua Tera Wada, Tum Kya Jaano Mohabbat Kya Hai, Chand Mera Dil Chandni Ho Tum, Aap Ke Kamre Mein Koi Rehta Hain and Lekar Hum Deewana Dil among others. The veteran actor was accompanied on stage by eminent composer Anand (of Anand-Milind fame).
