Raveena’s The Mother to release in April

Raveena Tandon in The Mother

Raveena Tandon is back with The Mother that is all set to release on April 21. Written by Michael Pellico and directed by Ashtar Sayed, this crime thriller deals with the tough road victims of rape and violence have to tread to get justice. The film also stars Madhur Mittal of Slumdog Millionaire fame, as the antagonist.

“I found the script very gratifying, as it showed how one can deal with criminals indulging in crime against women, while remaining on the right side of the law. As a society we need to change our laws to protect women,” says the National Award Winning actress who was last seen in a cameo in Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet (2015).

Raveena has over the years given her fans many a powerful performance in films like Daman, Satta and others. The Mother only adds to the list.
