Deana Uppal

Indo-British model-turned-actress Deana Uppal, who stars in Yeh Hai India, is of the opinion that movie experience has changed her outlook towards India and the values that unite people in the country.

Deana who hails from Middlesbrough (England), has earlier done films like Bhaag Johnny and Revolver Rani. She has strong expectations from Yeh Hai India, directed by Lom Harsh and GK Yogesh. Deana won the Miss India UK pageant in 2012 and also participated in the British reality show Celebrity Big Brother and Khatron Ke Khiladi, back in India.

While Deana’s character in the film initially, sees India as a polluted country, her interactions with the people out here completely transform her opinion about the country. And this happens both in reel and real lives as well. Deana is glad to be part of a thought-provoking subject like Yeh Hai India and she strongly believes that the film has been an eye-opener and changed her life and thinking to a large extent.

Deana has visited several places in India while shooting like Haridwar, Hrishikesh and parts of Gujarat. The film also stars Gavie Chahal and Karmveer Choudhary and is slated to release sometime this year.
