Mere Piya Gaye England is a must listen

A poster of Rangoon

After successful tracks like Bloody Hell and Yeh Ishq Hai, director and music composer Vishal Bhardwaj steals the show with the foot-tapping Mere Miyan Gaye England, in his directorial venture, Rangoon.  The number is a tribute to the popular song of the 1940s, Mere Piya Gaye Rangoon, and Kangana Ranaut looks ravishing as ever in the song. Sung by Rekha Bhardwaj, the song is entertaining with a desi appeal.

The visualisation of the song has its comic elements in a movie set against the intense backdrop of World War II. Shahid Kapur  and Kangana share some playful moments and the number also has a suave Saif Ali Khan looking rather anguished as he watches his lady-love shake hands with the character played by Shahid. Penned by Gulzar, the songs of Rangoon are are making inroads into our hearts.
