Sajid Nadiadwala recently had a warm get-together for the double celebration of the Judwaa franchise. The Salman Khan- starrer completes twenty years of its release and the shooting of its sequel coincidentally starts in the same week two decades later. The lunch party was a close-knit get-together for the distributors and for everyone associated with the franchise. Varun Dhawan, who was busy shooting, joined Sajid and father David and shared his insights into getting into Salman’s shoes. Sajid shared how there couldn’t have been a better time than this to start shooting Judwaa 2.

Director David was nostalgic when he talked about his experiences and memories from Judwaa. Directing his son in the sequel was exciting enough for him. The prequel had Salman sharing screen-space with Karisma Kapoor and Rambha. Varun will romance Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu and the shoot has commenced on a divine note with a high-energy Ganpati song.

The movie is slated to release on September 29.
