Sahiba from Phillauri releases

sahiba

A still from Phillauri

The latest song from Phillauri, Sahiba has been launched and it is already creating waves. Needless to say, the song surpasses expectations and casts a beautiful spell with its lyrical, poetic and soulful feel. “It is not everyday that you get to create a love ballad in a Bollywood film. Sahiba is a song that intends to show the depth of the love story of the two characters in Phillauri. It is simple, beautiful and poetic,” says the debutant music composer, Shashwat Sachdev. Sung by Romy along with Pawni Pandey, Sahiba recreates the timeless appeal of the Mirza Sahiba folklore from Punjab. The song, written by Anvita Dutt is picturised on the film’s lead pair Anushka Sharma and Diljit Dosanjh, grows on you right from the very first time that you listen to it.

Phillauri also stars Suraj Sharma and Mehreen Pirzada, and is directed by debutant Anshai Lal, written by Anvita Dutt and produced by Fox Star Studios and Clean Slate Films (Anushka’s production banner with brother Karnesh Sharma). It is set to release on March 24.
