The shooting of Yash Raj Films’ (YRF) Tiger Zinda Hai, sequel to Ek Tha Tiger, will begin on March 15 in the freezing locales of Tyrol, Austria with Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. Ali Abbas Zafar who has earlier directed Salman in Sultan, helms the project and Hollywood stunt performer Tom Stuthers will be the action director of the film that also stars Paresh Rawal in a pivotal role. Sturthers, is known for his stunts in Christopher Nolan’s Batman series (Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and the Dark Knight Rises).

A song sequence and a slick action scene will be shot amidst the chilling weather in Tyrol. A spokesperson of YRF says, “It will be very cold to shoot here, but Tyrol is both an unexplored and a stunningly beautiful location. We loved the challenge of shooting here. Tom Struthers will bring in a lot of value with his expertise. That Salman and Katrina agreed to shoot in this freezing cold place, where temperatures fall below minus twenty degrees, just goes on to prove how committed they are to the film.”

The film will also be shot in various other locations abroad. Meanwhile, veteran actor Rawal will be for the first time seen in a Yash Raj film. His character in the movie is very special and will surprise audiences. Commenting on Rawal, Zafar says, “I have always been a fan of his work and what he brings to his characters and I can’t wait to see him in this very special role, I am fortunate to be part of a film which is Rawal’s first for Yash Raj Films.”
