Over enthusiastic fan misbehaves with Vidya at the Kolkata airport

Bollywood actress Vidya Balan may have earned fame essaying powerful roles in films, but the versatile actress was recently embarrassed by a male fan at the Kolkata airport, according to Spotboye. Vidya accompanied by producer Mahesh Bhatt and director Srijit Mukherji (who directs her in Begum Jaan) was getting into the airport when a fan requested her for a selfie. Vidya agreed, but she got the shock of her life, when he put his arm around her much to her exasperation. Despite asking him to refrain, he was in no mood to budge.

Finally, her manager stepped in, and the man removed his hand. Yet he was at it again when the actress agreed to pose and this time he put his hand on her back. That made Vidya lose her temper and she shouted, “What do you think you are doing? This is wrong.” But the man was adament and Vidya finally had to tell him to behave himself and did not agree for a selfie. Vidya later said in an interview to Spotboye, “When a stranger puts an arm around you, be it a man or a woman you get uncomfortable because they are intruding into your personal space. We are public figures, not public property.”
