Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has played a big role in training Taapsee Pannu for Naam Shabana, which is India’s first spin-off based on Taapsee’s character in Neeraj Pandey’s Baby. Akshay, who is known for his martial arts skills for the last twenty years, has helped Taapsee perform action stunts in the film. Akshay plays a cameo in the spin-off.
Taapsee underwent a six-month long training session at Akshay’s own martial arts training centre, where he took personal interest in her progress and supervised her coaching. His black-belt fighters also put in a lot of effort in giving the right training to Taapsee. Akshay and his team of experts have been giving martial arts and self-defence training to more than 18,000 girls. Naam Shabana directed by Shivam Nair is all set to release on March 31.
