Bhojpuri superstars play cameos in Lucknow Central

Bhojpuri superstars, Manoj Tiwari and Ravi Kishan will be seen in cameos in Lucknow Central directed by Ranjit Tiwari. The film has Farhan Akhtar playing the lead. It is set against the backdrop of a jail. In the film, Farhan plays the role of a prisoner who aspires to be a Bhojpuri singer and is also a big fan of Manoj. Ravi has already shot some of his sequences and the ones with Manoj will be filmed after the team returns to Mumbai. The film is currently being shot in Lucknow. Says Ravi, “It’s a powerful role of a Chief Minister who appears at a very significant juncture.” He is all praise for Farhan, describing him as a “thorough gentleman.” “His patience and dedication is commendable and my respect for him has increased several folds,” he adds.

Producer Nikkhil Advani shares, “We were glad to convince Manoj Tiwari and Ravi Kishan, who are superstars of Bhojpuri cinema, to play interesting cameos in the film and their camaraderie with Farhan is to watch out for!” The film is already creating a buzz for its mammoth jail set in Mumbai’s Film City. It is slated to release on September 15.
