Producer Neeraj Pandey’s Naam Shabana directed by Shivam Nair released this Friday. And Pandey has expressed his gratitude to music director Bappi Lahiri for letting him use one of his compositions in the film. The reprised version of Zuby Zuby from the Mithun Chakraborty-starrer Dance Dance (1987) is used in a sequence in Naam Shabana where Taapsee Pannu playing an undercover agent visits a nightclub on a mission. This is also the second association between Pandey and Bappi da after Dhar Pakad in Special 26. Zuby Zuby originally, was sung by Alisha Chinai.

Says Pandey, “Zuby Zuby was one of the most popular party tracks of yesteryear. The song perfectly encapsulates the enigmatic vibe of the scene in Naam Shabana. It was an instant thought to have the reprised version of Bappi da‘s song in our film. I am thankful to the legendary composer to have let us recreate the magic of the classic in our film. “
