Vivaan Shah has a rich pedigree. He is the son of legendary actors Naseeruddin Shah and Ratna Pathak Shah. The actor stars opposite Akshara Haasan in Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laaddoo Deewana. Akshara too carries an enviable lineage. She is the daughter of Kamal Haasan and Sarika, both accomplished actors in their own right.

Talking about his character Laaddoo, Vivaan says, “What is interesting about my character Laaddoo is that he is very selfish, self-centred and dishonest as he had a tough childhood and has learned to think only about himself and what is best for him, without any regard for other people. However, having said that, Laaddoo still has an endearing quality because he has a good heart. I found it quite interesting and challenging to play a character who is so selfish and dishonest, but yet manages to be endearing.”

Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laaddoo Deewana, written and directed by Manish Harishankar, also stars Kavitta Verma, Gurmeet Choudhary, Saurabh Shukla, Sanjay Mishra, Darshan Zariwala and others. It is slated to release on April 7.
