For actor Kurt Russell, the decision to join the cast of Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 was a process that he enjoyed. And he is also happy to see Sylvester Stallone in the film. Though they most likely don’t have scenes together as per reports, Russell is still glad to see Stallone in the film. “I was just talking with Sylvester Stallone who’s one of my favourite people, and he loved doing what he did in this movie too. It’s been fun seeing Michael Rooker again. We did Tombstone together, and I haven’t seen Michael since then. So there were a lot of positives in this project for me,” the actor says.
Talking about the film, he says, “After I read the script, I watched the first movie.” “I remember that six or seven minutes into the movie, Chris Pratt is walking along. Then the music starts up, and he kicks off one of those alien rats or whatever they were. And I immediately liked the movie. I liked the atmosphere. And I liked his character,” he adds. Russell also enjoyed working with and getting to know the other cast members. That cast is fabulous,” Russell adds. “Zoe was really fun. Dave was really great. And Groot with Vin Diesel’s voice. I got to know Karen Gillan, who plays Nebula, and I got to spend a lot of time, of course, with Pom Klementieff,” he elaborates.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, written and directed by James Gunn, stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, featuring Vin Diesel as Baby Groot, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki, Chris Sullivan, Sean Gunn, Tommy Flanagan, Laura Haddock, with Stallone and Russell. It is set to release on May 5.
